Reentry Starts On The Inside: Free Reentry Readiness Checklists

Most reentry plans start at the gate. That is too late. These free checklists help you start sooner, whether you run a program or you are the one coming home. Each one walks through the Whole Person Approach and the Four Bridges of Reentry, so you can see what is ready, what is missing and what to do next.

For programs: the Reentry Readiness Checklist for Programs is a self-check for reentry and corrections program leaders. Go through it with your team, find your gaps and pick one change for the next 30 days.

For people coming home: Reentry Readiness Checklist: Your First 90 Days Home is a plain-language checklist for anyone getting ready to come home or just released. It covers the weeks before release, the first 72 hours, the first 30 days and the first 90 days. Print it, fill it in and bring it to your case manager, officer or reentry program.
